3. Viability

A viability assessment would research the business landscape, as well as the outcome of the discovery, looking at and testing several business concepts and trying to make a rough estimate of startup and ongoing costs as well as expected income and requirements. A viability assessment would create a rough picture of opportunities and challenges, as well as identifying enterprises, customers, and market strategies. Essentially the viability assessment attempts to find a business opportunity which fits with the job seeker’s skills and the customer’s need.

(If no viable business which meets client’s criteria is found, client goes back to seeking other avenues of employment, or returns with new ideas to viability phase.)
